GF1 Battery

I understand that the Panasonic batteries are chipped so only authorized batteries will work in a GF1. Are there any third party batteries which have this chip?

sellers on ebay claim yes.
but i've only used actual panasonic batteries myself. they show up on ebay and here in the $30-35 range from time to time. i got my back up recently on ebay.

Gary, the 2 I got from the bay are third party batteries.
They work fine...
If I can find the seller, I'll post it.
In fact, I posted on another thread some months ago...

My spare is a Becam, and worked after the firmware upgrade ... Of course, then I did the hack so it doesn't matter any more

Well I have a second battery which is a hahnel which I bought from a camera supplier here in the UK don't know if it is chipped or not and I did not know that the panasonic ones are, but my other battery works just fine.
