I understand that the Panasonic batteries are chipped so only authorized batteries will work in a GF1. Are there any third party batteries which have this chip?

    Gary,
Battery Mart dot com has them.
I bought 2 on eBay for $11.95 and they work fine.

Gary, the 2 I got from the bay are third party batteries.
    They work fine...
If I can find the seller, I'll post it.
In fact, I posted on another thread some months ago...

My spare is a Becam, and worked after the firmware upgrade ... Of course, then I did the hack so it doesn't matter any more
