Well I'm coming up on week two with my GF-3, and for the most part I'm super happy with it. I am not minding the control interface one bit (a second dial would be nice but isn't the end of the world), and the build quality and size with the 14/2.5 are exactly what I wanted.

    Only two complaints:
    - No flash exposure compensation. Seriously, how can it not have this?!
    - If the AF deems it to not be in focus, it won't let you take the picture. Particularly in close-ups, this is a huge deal for me. I have done some professional photojournalism and not having the shutter press mean *take the picture NOW* is totally frustrating.

Anyone have any fixes? Have I just missed the key settings in the menu?

Can't help you on the first issue. It is my only real complaint with the GF3. The second issue can be changed by turning focus priority off in the custom menu on page 2.

Thanks for the focus priority hint. That did the trick.

Flash exposure compensation still makes me sad. Had a bunch of shots today where I could have used it. What good is a seriously wimpy on-camera flash if not for fill?
