It was SO worth the wait.
I think you've got a lemon...seems to have some problems with contrast!
Such a flimsy build! Olympus truly jumped the shark! Another fiasco, I dare say...
I have to say the grip and battery pack is truly first rate. Very solid and looks great. However this is not making the wait easier. Quite the opposite actually.
The more I play with it the worse it gets. At first I was concerned about the little rubber removable door you have to remove to fit the grip to the battery pack. I just found the storage detent for it behind the finger grip. Pretty cool.
Playing with the wheels ... they have a very positive detent as you rotate them. I am so impressed my unhappiness with Oly for the extra wait is fast evaporating. I guess I'm still a fan boy after all.
Doing that mock-up did do one positive thing for me beside getting laughs ... This camera and grip is compact. I don't think I'll ever take off the grip and pack. I have gnarly slightly crippled up hands. This thing is just right.
NICE!!!!! Im glad you pointed that out
Well I didn't say it was a 'big' concern. I was just happy they covered this minor detail in such a innovative way.
C'mon. I got no camera man. give a guy a break.
So thin ! I bet it doesn't weigh much
I meant that as a compliment..sorry if it came across the wrong way. I hate loosing parts off my gear and to have a place to put them ( like in the grip ) is a great way to keep track of them. I had no idea that was the place to store the rubber part until you pointed it out..I had to run into my office and try it out
Cool. I thought you were 'giving me the business' as they say.
I've run out of glossy photo paper.
Just in case you didn't notice it, there is also a detent for the rubber cover from the horizontal grip in the top surface of the vertical grip.
Son of a gun! There is indeed.
Thanks for the chuckle!
