Gave in and bought a GH3 (sample shots)

Kenmore Camera posted on Facebook they received a batch of GH3s, 30 of them at that. I couldn't resist and drove up there to pick one up yesterday - they already sold 28 of them by the time I got there. Guess I was lucky.

So far I love it, the OLED screen and EVF took a sec to get used to due to the massive improvement in clarity from the GH2. The ergonomics are fantastic and I love all the buttons! I have my FN buttons set for Electronic Shutter, Focus Area and default for the others. The camera isn't much bigger and fits in the diaper bag but the build quality is a massive improvement.

I loved my GH2, but it always made me yearn for a Sony A77/A99 or Nikon D600 and miss my Canon 50D, but with the GH3, I only yearn for more lenses!

The Lumix Link App is great for taking self pics as well - guess I'll finally be in some pics with my daughter so she doesn't have to wonder where the hell I was when she gets older

congrats, the iso 3200 shot really look clean! What do you think of the out of box jpg colors? My GH2 always seems a little cold with skin tones.

I've never shot JPEG, always RAW. Even if I have to do a quick export from LR4, I just always shoot in RAW since storage is cheap .

Played a little bit with the video capabilities. Mixed the GH3 footage with a GoPro HD2. So far I've noticed the GH3 needs a +1 EV or the images and video are quite dark.

Played with ISO6400 today inside a restaurant with the 14mm F/2.5. I'd say its fairly usable and about as noisey as ISO1600 on my GH2

Still in love with this Camera. I'm going to paint the wall where I have my sheet hung up with white paint, as well as the ceiling though. Hopefully I'll have better reflective lighting.
