Hi,
I've had my G6 for a few years now, and most things about it I am happy with.
If I do my part, and in the right conditions, it can deliver pretty good images.
I have considered several times upgrading to a G80, but always ended up not taking the plunge, as I've never been 100% convinced about it giving a noticeable IQ benefit.
Recently, I added the Leica 12-60 lens to my collection. To replace the not so good kit lens.
Right now, I am seeing the current offers on the G80 in the UK, £100 cash back, and £100 trade in bonus, and I'm quite tempted. But...
I am also very tempted by the 15mm F1.7, and think that will probably be a better place to put my money. The G6 would benefit from the bright fast prime, especially indoors, in poor light. The conditions I'm least impressed by IQ in my current kit.
Ideally I'd love to do both, but assuming either or, which would you guys do?
Thanks for any guidance.
I also wonder how far away the G80 replacement is, with sensor and processing from the G9....
