Ok, so I seemed to have scoured the web and stuff and can't quite find an answer to my question. With the right flash, will the G5 do FP sync?

I am beginning to look for a flash and if the camera is capable of it, then that is a feature I want.

I believe all of the Olympus and Panasonic flashes offer FP.

Right, but does the camera allow FP sync?

Did you even find an answer? I am interested in this same topic. Looking to buy a used G5 soon.

If by "FP Sync" you mean the flash can be used at all shutter speeds (by means of strobing the flash at a rapid rate while the curtain shutter's slit scans the sensor), on the G5 the maximum sync speed is 1/160 second, using the mechanical shutter. In the electronic shutter mode, flash (and hotshoe) are disabled. So I don't believe there's a provision for true "FP Sync."

Here's a discussion about the G5's flash, over on DP Review, from circa 2012.

Flash has always been a weakness with the Lumix micro-4/3 cameras, IMO. Not sure about Olympus.
