I have tried all sorts of things, yet I don't get any differences among the various I-DYNAMIC settings. Am I doing something wrong?

Even if you set iDynamic to "high" it will only be enabled in high contrast scenes. Perhaps the pictures look the same simply because the camera switched iDynamic off as it was not necessary?

    Kind regards

You are right: the dynamic range seems to deactivate under some conditions. I was testing high contrast images under moderately bright artificial light. I suppose that the light was not bright enough for the camera to do its trick. I tried a brighter scene and it works nicely.
Thanks, I thought it was just a marketing trick.
