g3 flash?

    i'm stumped.lcd shows forced flash off = flash not activated in any recording conditions.problem is how do i get camera off of forced flash, the only way i can use flash is to open it myself.probally will kick myself as it has to be simple but its just not clicken with me DUH.thanks another thought do i always open the flash on g3 and it doesn't open itself? other camera opens flash itself maybe i have them crossed?

    If the G3 is like its predecessors, it will never open on its own. You control the flash by opening & shutting it mechanically.

    In low light condition, lift up the flash on standby but put flash setting at auto.

    Also stick a tiny piece of tissue paper on the flash to diffuse it.
