I am interested in getting a second Panasonic body. I was thinking of getting the GH1, but it seems to me that the G2 is an improvement, at least for my purposes. I prefer the way some of the controls are laid out on the G2 and am hoping the new Venus engine HD II would improve jpeg output.

I think the video of the G2 would be adequate for my needs, and I already have a 14-140 lens, so I don't care about which lens comes with which body.

Yet, I have seen several comments on various forums that seem to suggest the G2 sensor will be inferior to that of the GH1 and that some or many would prefer the GH1, even for primarily stills.

I am thinking of getting the G2 when it is available, but I maybe I missing something here?

Never mind. The imaging Resource review answered my question.

Hehe, yeah that review is quite damning for the G2.

The GH1 really has a tremendous sensor advantage of all other m4/3 cameras.
