I have a question that I can't figure out the answer to....
I have the AF set to the AF Lock button but it still focus on the release button....that's a big no no for me....
Anybody know how to disconnect the AF from the release?

What other setup tricks ya got for me....?

Ok, figured out the AF situation.
I set the AF/AE Lock button to AF only.
Now you can AF from there or the release.

Press the AF Lock button to lock your Focus, hold the button in. Compose your shot. Then release with the shutter button. The shutter will meter the scene but not change AF.....
    Wonderful.....

    AF/AE Lock

You can change the behaviour of the AE/AF Lock button so that you do not need to keep it depressed for into be active.

Whilst the AE/AF Lock button's behaviour can be configured, the shutter release will always AF and AE when depressed unless the AE/AF Lock button is active or in MF (Manual Focus) mode.

    J,
Where were you 12 hours ago?
I figured it out and decided to leave the button active only on press. In case I need to refocus in a hurry...
    Thanks....don
