Silicone, clear, preferred. Anybody know of any? I have not been able to track such a thing down. Even a padded zippered chintz quilt would be better than nothing.

I use the camera daily in a dusty, dangerous environment. I need SOMETHING over this cute little plastic toy. In the meantime, the camera sports a heavy metal quick release plate which keeps it up outta da grime.

Every night after work I have to clean the entire unit and lenses used that day. It's tedious. I asked Panasonic about dust and waterproof prosumer :43: models recently and was chided for such a silly question.

Most silicone "body armour" products just offer padding, not dust protection.
In fact once dust gets under the silicone it can wear against the body.

What sort of hell are you putting the camera through?

If you want protection against dust then something like a Kata E-690 might help, but probably not if you're rolling around and dropping the unit in dust piles, etc...

Just bought aKata E-690 today. It should help a bit. I'll play with it tomorrow and report back.
