A 20mm G II lens was just announced by BH. I can't see any difference between it and the 1st generation G 20 I already have, except the price. What am I missing?

Better cosmetics. I'd save money if you're happy with the looks of your lens.

Nobody really knows yet. Some Gx7 testers report some speed improvements but who knows I'd it's due to camera. I also read somewhere that the altered design of exterior parts improved contrast or flare resistance.
We won't know for sure until large numbers of these are out there and get used a lot .

After learning about it I did some research. The new version is said to have a somewhat quieter internal focusing unit. I've used the 20mm and can say that you were able to hear it doing it's thing.

Slightly quieter motor, use metal lens barrel, slightly lighter and slightly better flare control than first one
