In FW update 2 Olympus added 'Simulated Optical View Finder' (S-OVF) to the EVF options, which might be nice for whoever wants it.

They tell us that: "The display is not adjusted for settings such as white balance, exposure compensation, and picture mode.", makes sense.

But they do not tell us that Live Histogram, if you choose to display it in the EVF, is also not adjusted and no longer represents the image recorded. Actually it no longer represents anything useful.

Personally, I think Live Histogram is an extremely important feature which I use constantly in the EVF (if it gets in the way, I disable it temporarily).

    Any thoughts?

That seems like an extremely undesirable "feature". I can understand wanting the EVF to show something independent of the actual exposure but I agree the histogram should represent the exposure!

When using new S-OVF, I don't see much color changing between EVF during day scene, but it shows very warm color when shooting under incandescent lighting.
