Just a snapshot of an idea I had on my afternoon walk today. I'm in the process of rearranging my home studio so it's not quite set up yet, so I'll probably reshoot this in a few days.

Canon RP with RF50 1.8

Strobist info: Godox AD200 at 1/64 power in a shoot through umbrella camera right. Triggered with Godox XProC.

@wyk Any experience on the original A7 shooting manual or vintage lenses? Curious if it has good focusing aids like peaking or magnification.

I have been trying to get a good shot of a fern for years and years. It took a combination of perfect light and an old, sometimes glowy Pentax-M 50 f2 for me to manage something.

I am very happy with this image.

D600 & 200mm f4 Micro-Nikkor - not the best birding combo but I had to run with what I had. Annoyingly the other long lens was on the Pentax and that was a 100mm Macro which was even worse to handle. My E-M1 & 60mm Oly didn't seem to be able to AF properly on the small bird bodies which was pretty frustrating.

D600 & 55mm AF Micro-Nikkor - I find it hard to get a sharp shot w/ FF because of my poor technique (& lack of m43 style assistance) but when it comes together and you nail focus the pics are great.

Bought a cheap 28-105 zoom for the D700 just before Christmas. Seems pretty good to me, save for it's penchant for flare when facing in the general direction of the sun. Nevertheless, still enjoying this low cost foray into full frame.
