I perfectly agree with you this lens is stunning , in fact I find it better than the pentacon 50 1.8. The creamy bokeh is just awesome.

I have the non EBC version :D

Nice to know you also use Fuji lens, since it's rarely mention in digital photography forum everywhere. I use two Fuji lens 55mm f2.2 non EBC that suffer from fogging (due to the improper storage) and this 55mm F1.8 EBC, I even still keep the Fuji MPF105 SLR body in storage. Still looking for another Fuji lens or M42 lens out there....:-D

Nice pic, I have the fuji 55 1.8 and havent tried it yet, as I received a super tak 55 1.7 at the same time. Guess I'll have to do a side by side comparison...

    Adapter

If I may ask, how did you go about adapting your Fujinon lens to micro-four-thirds. I have the correct adapter from Rainbowimaging (eBay), but there is a little protrusion on the aperture ring that presses against the adapter when it the lens is mounted. This situation doesn't allow the aperture ring to be rotated? Did you file down the protrusion (as I've heard some people have done?).

Fujinon lenses where mainly M42 at the start, you may need a bit of filing and a adapter that will lock the pin.

I do have the M42 adapter for a GF1, I was trying to avoid filing down the tab on the lens and wondered if there was an alternative.

Sorry just saw this post, been a bit busy lately...I use M42 to m4/3 adapter from China, the brand is unclear, it made from the metal and painted black and its quite thick. I think it's the same with what most M42 lens on m4/3 body used. It's not that precise and as the result the scale bar of aperture and distance not sit where it supposed to be, a bit on the left and the mounting feel a little shaky. Other than that all lens function works the aperture pin from lens get pressed when the adapter get screw in to lens. I don't see any protrusion/shallow hole on M42 side of adapter but there is protrusion/shallow hole on m4/3 adapter side. I'll try post the picture ASAP. I get it very cheap it's about US$ 15.
