In good, but used condition (this is 35+ years old, and has seen action) see the photos at Om Zuiko 2/85 - laohu's Photos. Note the slight scratching on the rear element, and the damage at the extreme edge. None of this affects the image quality. The front element is excellent +, the iris symmetrical and blades snappy. Focus is smooth. Adapts onto m4/3 to be a beautifully balanced medium tele.

Comparing it to my much later 216nnn copy this is slightly softer (6 elements vs. 5), and just slightly lower contrast (probably due to the single coating). it was not an easy choice to decide which to sell and if I were using this for portraits I reckon I'd have kept this one.

Reduced! ***£140*** inclusive of delivery + fees in UK. Can be collected. Paypal OK, BT or cash and collection better . EU possible but will need to cover postage + any currency fees.

Is the cat picture wide open ? If not, what F stop ? Would you happen to have a wide open human portrait with it ? Can't stop thinking about it ;)

No the cat photo is f4 or 5.6. At f2 the lens is quite soft and has a bit of CA, which goes away by f2.8.

I'll see what I've got wide open.

Wow, thanks a lot for your honesty. Still interested to see a wide open portrait, if you have some :)

Wonderful lens! I've got the 28mm and the 50mm. This one would complement them perfectly!
Shame I can't afford the price (no, I'm not asking for reduction, your price is a fair one).

I've added another image - the last one above is wide open - better than I remember.

Thanks a lot for the wide open shot.
I'm awaiting delivery of my OM>NEX adapter to be able to test the lenses I already got (50/1.8-50/1.4-100/2.8) and depending on how they perform, I might get back to you regarding your 85 :)
