White Castle by AstrWlad, on Flickr
Welcome to the forum.
Hey welcome mate. I've just been watching Indiana Jones and he's having a big blew with the Russians. I click on here and blow me down your from russia. I'm glad it was just a movie. haha
Good have you here.
Oh, sorry, but I don't think those funny "Russians" from IJ can really scare a one .
And these are real russians by the way:

Welcome Wlad. Nice Kremlin shot, my wife is from Astrakhan btw )
Welcome! Beautiful pics, please show us some more!
Welcome. Nice shots.
But they look just like normal people! What was the Cold War all about? Crazy.
Welcome, love these pictures and hope to see more.
Welcome to the forum!
My thanks to everybody for the kind words!
McDark, greetings to your wife, I hope she liked the picture .
goldenlight, I dont't know, but "power and money" would be a good bet, I think.

It was made a couple hours after I bought my G3 and I was just stunned when I've seen how good it looks in BW. I never expected to get such creamy tones from the twice-cropped mirrorless camera with a kit lens!
Pretty new here myself. Tell me: kit lens on "White Castle" too? I've got a G3. But my kit lens hasn't yet turned out anything nearly so beautiful. Must be a faulty lens. (Don't say it; I know. I know.)
Good eye, my friend.
Thanks! And yes, all shots in this thread are made with a kit lens, but they are more o less post-processed and "White Castle" is most heavily manipulated of all them. You would be surprized if I show you the original image .

I'm enjoying these pictures from Russia mate. For some reason in Australia here we don't hear much about Russia at all. I'd love to see more pictures.
And people in Russia don't hear much about Australia. Most Russians don't even know that when it's summer in Russia, it's winter in Australia. It is winter in Australia now, right?
It's winter in Australia, but for much of Australia that's probably equivalent to spring/autumn in much of Russia.
Yup it's winter here. I'm guessing you'd probably laugh if I said that where I live we get a few frosts during the wintertime. Takes a bit to get started early on a cold morning. Spanners get pretty cold during the night I've found.
Glad to read this . By the way, my cousin lives in Melbourn so Australia is not a Terra Incognita for me .
And a couple of "postcard photos" for you viewing pleasure:
