    hey team,

i;ve just started playing with HDR on my E-pl1, taking several shots using the bracketing mode from -3 to +3 EV at 1EV stops.

i've been using Luminance (an open source HDR program) but the results i'm getting aren't as nice as what i was getting with my trial of the photomatix plugin to aperture.

recommendations of other free software to use would be welcome!

Almost everyone uses photomatix - it's not that expensive really, especially the lite version.

    Sorry :)

Somehow my version Of Photomatix is free. It just keeps working perfectly each time I open it, so I'm happy. It doesn't open up from within Aperture tho as it's a standalone app.

haha, I talked too soon. Just moved the app to my new HDD and I opened it up and it says it's a trial. Didn't have that on my old HDD- must've been a fluke.

Unfortunately there is no Mac version (it is planned) but a 'plug' for a new software in beta stage that is a RAW developer, HDR, relighting etc. Win users should check out Oloneo Photo Engine.
