So i have a friend from japan coming to visit in December. I find on rakuten.com a new PL 25 lens for $450 aud .They retail for over $600 here. Downside is i have to wait 5 months before I can get my hands on it. In the meantime I will 'make do' with my P20
Should I buy the PL25 now or wait a few months in case the exchange rate gets better .?

actually , it may be wiser now to buy some bullion gold , coins or bars.
If hyperinflation should come , you won't be able to eat a lens :)

Gold bullion taste really good. I have next to my beef bouillon.

or you could spend $30.00 on insured shipping and have your lens next week. That's 6 lattes, which is my peronal exchange based currency.

  5. Most Australian economists expect the AU$ to drift downwards further which will erode the savings you'll make by waiting (how much is the question but it's a factor to be considered if you're looking to buy for the cheapest total cost).
