Except for the camera model name embedded into the EXIF, the files from the EP5 are identical to the EM5. So, to process your EP5 files through LR, all you need to do is change the model name, which can be done with a utility called Exiftool. You'll find it easily with a google search and once you've downloaded it, just unzip the download file and rename the exe within it to exiftool.exe (for a complicated reason it's called exiftool(-k).exe in the zip). Then run exiftool from the DOS command prompt like this:

    exiftool -model=E-M5 PL500837.ORF

Obviously, replace the filename PL500837.ORF with your own filename. After this command has run, you'll find two files:

The one called _original is (surprise, surprise) the original file. The other is the updated version with the model name changed to E-M5. This will be handled quite happily by LR.

Once LR (or your favourite raw editor) supports the EP5 properly, just delete the ORFs and rename the _original files to ORF again and you'll restore the proper model name (or if you delete the _original files, just use Exiftool again).

    Hope this helps.

Lightroom already supports the E-P5, as of the current release.

Ah - ok. I'm running LR 4 of course!

Still - the same problem probably applies to Aperture and some other raw processors.

I've always thought that the raw files from different models equipped with the same sensor are identical. seems true
