If you go by the adage that 1 year of a dog’s life equals 7 human years (it’s not that simple), this is a 76 year old man playing tug with an 82 year old woman.

I haven't been totally happy with the v1 Pany 35-100 f/2.8, it just never seems to be sharp enough. So after a 3 hour drive today, I picked up a near new Oly 40-150 Pro f/2.8. Golden Hour weekly disc dogs turned into an overcast drizzle, and I only pulled out the camera to test the C-AF, I didn't think I was going to get anything super great in this light... boy was I surprised. Maybe not super due to the ISO, but I'm still impressed.

This border collie and his owner are a hilarious pair to watch. The dog consistently returns and drops the disc a good ten feet short of the owner, necessitating a run out to get it, and he rarely catches the frisbee when it is thrown.... as you can see below.

So on the way out to the car I discovered a thief with a penchant for crisps (chips for our USA friends) who was in a bit of a pickle. He'd been very quiet about the crime and wasn't quite sure where he was, or how he was going to get out of trouble without making too much noise :)

I hate to say it, but the packet was a perfect fit....

Just a rushed iPhone photo, apologies for the quality.

I need four arms....

This was the first time I actually got to play with floating one of the AD200s with a 20" diffuser face down in the water and it worked pretty good. With the shot of Ernie going for the ball underwater I was able to leave just a smidge of the flash controller peeking above the waterline and that was enough for it to communicate with the floating flash. I have to talk with Outex to find out if a hot shoe extension cable will work with their cover that has a data port; then I could float the transmitter separately from the camera.

He’s a beautiful hound. Fabulous floppy ears, What breed is he?
She is a basset hound, we've got two, Bandit and Harley. They have very short front legs which I thought would make them less...active. Oh my god are they full of energy :)
