Baby "Therapy" Dog

Our baby piebald Dachshund puppy is turning out to be great therapy for my aging mother.

We decided to adopt this little girl from a local dog rescue (that brought her up from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky), she's been with us for 48 hours so far. Loves the beach, is a bit wary of strangers. We were told she was a "chiweenie" - a chihuahua/dachshund mix - but someone suggested to me she might be dachshund/jack russell mix, and i think they might be right.

My sister's greyhound ex-racer. He's pretty hardcore, he has tattoos he got in the pen. It is awesome to see him run!(Canon Ae-1, 28mm lens with kodak 400 B&w film)

At a riverfront park in Austin, TX, all shot with a Spiratone 135mm T-mount lens and stopped down to f/4 or f/5.6. Sadly, none of these dogs are mine.

Where exactly is this park. I live in Bastrop but have to come into Austin every week to do the grocery shopping, drug store shopping, ect for my elderly parents. My Mom has Alzheimer's so it's really a burden for Dad. I always bring my two dogs with me because Mom likes them so much. They are about the only thing she can remember. This would be great for them.

Thanks so much!

This would be the Lady Bird Lake Trail near the Zilker Botanical Garden south of the river. I was trying to meet up with some friends who were coming in separately, and apparently there are at least two different areas with beaches for dogs, so there's no shortage of places to take them.

I found it on the map. Thanks so much!! I have to come to Austin for three days next week to take care of Mom while my Dad has a bunch of tests run at the hospital. Now I have somewhere to take Stanley and Hugo!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

There's been a lot of new (OLD) lenses coming into the house lately......also just got some Pentax macro extension tubes. Unfortunately, I can't tell you which m42 lens I shot this with, but I'm pretty happy with those macro of my dog Lucy's nose. I find it's best to take the dog on a long walk before the photo shoot, if you want them to lie still.
