So sorry for your loss. After our last cat died 13 years ago, we decide we could no longer go through the trauma of losing another, so we feed three cats that come to our back door.
The pic is of one of them, she growls a lot!

I tried making a two-sided pillow using a pair of recent catographs with black backgrounds and the modestly priced printing services of collage.com. I was very pleased with the results and the service.

In a prior post I described how I made these rather striking cat portraits. I remain very fond of the inexpensive Olympus 40-150 mm f/4.0-5.6 R zoom lens on my aging Panasonic GX-7 camera. It is really good kit for animal head shots.
Mercedes demonstrating her expressive face on Friday, February 5th. Oly 40-150 mm f/4.0-5.6 R on Pany GX7. She was sitting on our bedroom setup box in front of the flatscreen TV which was off. Daylight was provided by a South-facing window about four feet from the left of the TV and slightly in front of it. This proved to be a terrific dramatic catography set with wonderful lighting!

I've read that book too, Sergei. John Wyndham wrote it, I think?
no, John Wyndham wrote Day of the triffids.))) Robert Heinlein wrote the Doors into summer.
