We had to take Lizzie to the Vet this morning. Unstable on her hind legs, and walking in circles. The Vet thought she had probably had a minor stroke.

Vale, our beautiful girl.
Twenty one years, six months and ten days old.

She will return to our Mother, the Earth, in our back yard.

Damn, John. Full condolences, my heart goes out. One of the toughest things in life is to lose a close friend. She's lucky she had you.

My deepest condolences goes out to you!
And to her sister!

How is she doing, after this upset in her life?

My two remaining bestest friends are obviously still remembering Simba, almost ten months after his departure back to the Great Maker of Cats, and Other Things...

Thanks, Mark. We are still numb.

Thanks, Tim. They have both had a good innings. Rosa has a little dementia, and can't jump like she used to, but no sign of blindness or other problems. Her balance isn't what it used to be, but neither is mine!

Lizzie was completely blind, and had some dementia. She wasn't very steady anyway. We have had to help her a lot with most things for the last 6-12 months. Things we were more than happy to do. She was very precious.
My deepest condolences goes out to you!

Thanks, Erik.

Rosa is obviously a little discombobulated, but is not obviously distressed. We thought she might have been distressed, as they were litter mates, and they were very close to one another.

Thank you to all who have noted her passing. They leave a big hole, for such little creatures. At least we can perform this last act of love for our precious companions, much as it hurts for us.

Thanks again, everyone.

This bugger is about a year old now, and has seen a couple of homes already. Came to us last summer's end, when his first forever home found out they couldn't be much forever due to allergies. Since then we've moved house, so this is his fourth place since birth.

He's also the first cat I've ever seen to push his nose under your hand by force when he wants to be petted. So far I've only seen dogs do that. Bad influences, maybe..?
Sounds like a nice friendly fellow! We’ve had four cats in our lives so far and three of them did/do that hand thing—as a matter of fact, they actually flip your hand up, just to make sure the meaning is clear. ?

Sorry to hear this, my sympathy.
And a very respectable age. Apparently been taken good care off.
