handheld @ f:3.5 ISO 200 - my first picture with this lens, which is also my first real macro lens ever. Don't ask me why the first picture is of cat detail...

I've been off for a while. My antiquated Dell Inspiron desktop died on me and I was unable to repair it. At first blush it looked like a power supply failure. I replaced the power supply for under $30, but that wasn't the problem. Local shops wanted $150-$200 to diagnose the problem. Since this was more than the 10 year old machine was worth, I decided to scrap it and replace it with new hardware.

I haven't had a Macintosh since the early 1990's. I loved them then, but was forced to switch over to a PC when I started working for a PC software developer. I've been looking forward to the switch back! Of course things have really changed in 30 years - I've been doing a lot of learning with my new iMac. As a learning project, I have written about my favorite cat, Lana, who shared my life from 2008 to 2017. You can read my PDF here >>> Lana's Tale.

VVV - The PDF is now unlocked (see comments below). - VVV

Thank you JOHN KING and ERIK_H for finding the link problem with my post. I believe it is working properly now, but would appreciate your confirmation tests. >>> Lana's Tale PDF <<<

Sitting in a non-suspicious way, which makes me wonder what she was up to.

Thanks John. He really is "moms" cat  He likes to be with her when ever he can. We also have a really pretty tortoiseshell female called "Missy" and she is "dads" cat. The pair of them turned up at Sues house when she lived out of town on an acreage so she decided to give them a nice home where they would be loved. We think they are both around about 17-18 years old.
