Casa Kitty in Mexico. Actually, this is where a woman named Kitty lives.

I may be breaking protocol here, but I've been scanning/restoring glass plate negatives shot and developed by my great grandmother, this kittehs photo is some-whereabouts 120 years old.

There's no protocol for pictures of cats! ?

A good example of intrusive jpeg compression.

Lewis, this is just fantastic!

Your great grandmother had a good eye & you’ve done a great job of restoring/processing the glass plate negative. This must have been quite an emotional experience, as well.

Thank you for sharing this amazing photo.

Thanks much -- I started the project w/o knowing she was the photographer. Soon I discovered family tradition had her shooting and processed the plates herself, and in some you can see her holding a bulb remote. There were a fair amount of critters in her plates, mostly in the background of other subjects, but some front and center like this one. Cheers!

Isis likes Simba, but wtf... :crying:
She has absolutely no interest in my carefully framed pictures, nor my manual settings.

One of the favourite places.
When she jumped down I thought it was because I had come a little too close for a portrait. But it was rather for a "thank you that you've noticed me" and some cuddles that she stroked my legs.

E-PL1 w/Domiplan f:2.8/50 mm
@f:2.8 1/3 sec ISO400

Soft lenses are OK with lady Isis de Tortoise.

Soft kitty,
warm kitty,
little ball of fur!
Happy kitty,
sleepy kitty,
purr purr purr!

Or else, I would have to polish the otherwise all too visible, lighter coloured cat hair, and assorted other cat fur debris types, off of her with a shammy.

Hostile kitty,
mean kitty,
vicious ball of fur!
Fierce kitty,
growling kitty,
grr grr grr!

So, a soft lens definitely has its place in her collection! You might even call it a life saver.

Thanks/Erik
