Thanks John. He really is "moms" cat  He likes to be with her when ever he can. We also have a really pretty tortoiseshell female called "Missy" and she is "dads" cat. The pair of them turned up at Sues house when she lived out of town on an acreage so she decided to give them a nice home where they would be loved. We think they are both around about 17-18 years old.

This is really a test of how to use MFT camera as a free slide scanner and will HDR help to fix incorrectly exposed originals.
(free assuming you have a macro lens, light table and tripod which can be configured to shoot downwards)

- Olympus 30mm f/3.5 macro
- electronic shutter, used smartphone app to avoid touching the camera
- 5 RAW files, +1 exposure bracketing
- HDR created in darktable
- original was shot in Fuji Velvia 200 back in the 1990's

And here's a second scan with HDR twist. Original was again Fuji Velvia 200 but this image was so badly overexposed that white fur was totally burned out
-2, -1, 0 , +1, +2 bracketing was enough to bring the detail back. It was still left in the film, just not visible to naked eye. Result is way much better than with my Canon flatbed scanner despite being a true film scanner.

Both of these cat's lived to a ripe old age of 18 and 19 years respectively. We really miss them
And no, there's no baby under her.

Since I got started, here's Peppi, one of our current predators. Can't recommend her breed to a fresh cat owner but I do recommend the Panasonic Leica 12-60.
Not only is it great for video but there just is a visible difference in colour and contrast. And who says you need FF for just the correct amount of bokeh?

A while back I tested whether the battery of my old 60D was still alive and ended up with this shot. It really summarises her ..ahem, character.
Cropped to a wallpaper for HD display.

Ours are 20 y.o. litter mates, and had a fine old dust up yesterday!

Mostly they are happily intertwined with each other though.
