It was with great trepidation I inserted the oldest memory card I could find, a Kingston Compact Flash from July 2008, into the card reader.

It contains pictures from the Minolta Dimage 5, my first "real" digital camera.

And it still works. :yahoo:

I'll now have to go through the rest of my cards, and hope I'm as lucky with them.

And start refreshing every second year, waiting for laser digital imaging crystal engraving technology.

Thanks/Erik

I was just trying to get a picture of my finger, when Mismet decided she would sit on my lap(top).

My cat is the quintessential 'fat b@stard', and I love him.

Haha well he pined a bit, but he's more the type to comfort-eat than stave himself ;)

I did take a video of him drooling all over me when I got home (drool actually went in my mouth!!), but don't know how to upload it here.
This guy sometimes drools on me when he makes bisquits, with his full weight on my solar plexus, begging for, no, actually demanding, his treats.

I shouldn't only post him looking foolishly Homer Simpson-esque, so here's something classier:

Great use of that lens - I had it but didn't persevere.
Thank you!

I think you should try again! All three of the kit lenses are fun to use, and produces pretty nice results: https://www.mu-43.com/threads/pentax-auto-110-lens-thread.1081/page-5#post-1357586

Pro lenses they are not, but then I paid about $50 for all three (with a 110 corpse thrown in), which is reasonable. About 60% of what an 8 kilo bag of the expensive, veterinary, cat food costs me.

I'm worth it!

Thanks/Erik
