Presumedly his ear has been clipped to show he has been neutered or desexed as is said in the modern parlance!
You are correct. It was not always this friendly. She had 2 batches of kittens over the years. Thus, we captured and took it to the Animal shelter where they fix it and clip the ear.

My boy Biscuit.
I just snagged a minty Panasonic 7-14 courtesy of a forum member here and it just got here this afternoon. Nasty, rainy day today so it was indoor cat pics for me.

Feral Cat seeking some attention in the recording studio. Why do they do their hands like that?

I read somewhere that is a way for them to show other members of their group (including humans, I suppose) that they are not interested in any aggressive behavior.
Kind of like "Alright, fellas....I am putting away my slappers, so there is no need for anyone to act up right now."
This, of course, may be 100% wrong. But it makes sense.

Thanks.
That makes sense. They do that while in groups, and seem to be cool with the other cats.

To quote a fictional heroine I'm particularly fond of, some people haven't the sense God gave geese - here's my cat, who got in a cat fight. His large size probably usually intimidates others from taking him on, but this time it bit him, quite literally, on the b#m. Ouch. So he had his first visit to the vet, for surgery on an abscess, and he is keeping us at home for Christmas. Fortunately, he has been a model patient and is healing well.

Glad your cat is recovering nicely, Melanie. I love your third photo! Really good composition and B&W processing.

Wishing you a nice Christmas....stay at home, or not.

Thanks very much! I forgot to add this was the GX7 with 20mm f1.7 and custom dynamic monochrome filter - such a winning combination, really. Happy Christmas to you :)

Oh yeah, he looks real happy about that lamp shade. Glad to hear he's recovering well. Merry Christmas!

Guess who got a lensball for Christmas.
(Me, not the cat...)
Useful for turning upside down cats the right way up.

New to site and to the micro 4/3 system.
I wanted to try my new camera and lens with an external flash to see what I could do. The only model available, at the time, was one of our family cats. His name is Cubs and he makes a good portrait model.
