This lens is marvelously light and a superb portrait lens.
Quite sharp wide open.
And so small it’s hard to believe the quality which Panasonic engineers have managed to pack into this tiny marvel.

Unlike the Olympus 45mm f/1.7 (which is also a very good lens), this lens features Panasonic’s internal image stabilization or Power O.I.S., which is nice if you have an older, small micro four thirds body without internal O.I.S. It also focused closer than the Oly.

It works particularly nicely with the diminutive GM1 and GM5 but also feels just right on my larger GX7.

It comes with the matching lenshood (note: to attach the lenshood, a tiny ring must be removed from the top of the lens, allowing the lenshood to click in; a neat system, unless you lose the ring), lens cap, and a nifty carrying bag (which is actually useful). I no longer have the original box.

All in all, a great lens. But one which doesn’t get much use from me - and I am trying to pare down the contents of my camera bag just to my most frequently used lenses. If you buy this lens new from Amazon or B&H, the price is close to $350. On eBay, used copies of the lens regularly sell between $275 and $310. My preference is to sell it to a fellow photographer - and fellow member of the Mu-43 community - and I’d also like to keep it affordable (for fellow photographers on a budget) -

So my price is $250.00 + shipping (which will run another $12.50 - shipping to Canada will be more - and unfortunately shipping anywhere else is prohibitively expensive)

I believe I paid a little over $300, so hopefully someone who has their heart set on a superb, lightweight, low-light portrait lens - is going to get a truly reasonable price.
