    Description

I'm original owner and purchased from Japan. There's a dent in the lower lens barrel that I put there pushing it a bit too hard into my bag when there was a view finder below it (dented the metal a tiny bit, look at last image below). I've never dropped it and it works great and is super sharp. No scratches or dust in the lens and used in non smoking non cologne wearing home =).

Bump. Please someone buy so I don't go back to consider selling the Olympus 40-150 2.8 instead!? Once and awhile I think I should keep this for the size advantage and better bokeh!

I have both and find myself reaching for the Pan 35-100 more often,
just for the size advantage mostly.
Thanks for letting us know about the better bokeh.
I hadn't heard that and it's good to know.
If it weren't for those times when I need the extra reach,
    I probably wouldn't keep the 40-150.
It's hard - both lenses have their strengths
and they're differently valuable in various situations.
    Good luck with your sale.
It's a good price and whoever buys it is gonna love this lens.
Really a nice piece of work.
    Aloha

Thank you Stephen. I wish I could keep both but man this hobby puts a serious dent in the funds! You know, if the 35-100 had a good 2x or 1.4x adapter I might flip the listing. Looking at my lightroom shots I shoot quite a bit at max focal length with the 40-150 so made my choice on that.

Re: the funds - my credit card balance knows whereof you speak.
And I also know what you mean about needing the length -
I also often shoot at the max on my 40-150.
    When I don't need the 2.8 speed (4.0 with extender), I use my Panny 100-300 -
a much better lens than most give it credit for.
The 40-150 is a superb lens - my only knock is the size and weight.
I'm starting to experiment with a Nikkor 70-200 f/4 I have from my Nikon days.
If I can get good quality I may say goodbye to the 40-150
(and make a payment on that damn credit card that got me into this!)
Not an easy choice either way.
