    Description

For sale is one Panasonic Lumix HD Micro 4/3 14-140mm lens. Do not confuse this lens with the less expensive smaller lens that came out a few years later. This lens usually sells on Ebay for around $370-390. I thought I would list it here to give forum members a chance before going to Ebay. The lens is clean and this sale includes the lens, lens hood and storage pouch. There is no original box but the lens will be well packed for shipping. I have had no problems or issues with this lens. Thanks for checking out my sale. If you use Pay Pal I will only ship to that address. Shipping price quoted is for basic shipping to lower 48 states. I do not ship internationally. Panasonic%2014-140mm%20lens%20001a.JPG

Is this the same all metal black one that came with GH2's (GH3?) way back?

    Steve,

I do not know what came with those cameras. This lens was first introduced in March of 2009, has 17 elements in 13 groups and a filter size of 62mm. The other lens was introduced in April 2013 has 14 elements in 12 groups and a filter size of 58mm. Both have OIS. When introduced the newer model sold for about 2/3 the price of it’s predecessor so that led me to believe there was a cheapening of materials or something was missing. When I was looking around for a sort of all in one lens I found several WEB sites that indicated this lens felt a bit better built but I never had the other one in my hand to personally compare the two. The reviewers noted the rubber of the adjustment rings gave a better grip and one site which was a Youtube video I believe indicated he thought it focused a bit better/faster in low light situations. But you know how that goes, there were probably other videos that claimed the opposite. I went with this version because I had just gone through some less than stellar experiences with plastic feeling Olympus lenses, the highly rated 45 and 17mm lenses, and I wanted a more solid build/feel. How a lens feels to me during operation is very important.
