@RamblinR . It turned out to be a lemon (soft across the whole frame) and I'm waiting to hear from them about returning it. It's rather put me off in case I get another one with poor quality control so I've decided to just stick with the olly 9-18. Thinking about it in retrospect the loawa really is expensive for a manual lens when you can get the Olly 9-18 cheaper. I'm going to teach myself how to do panos rather than risk buying something wider.
Yes, I wonder about swapping out as I have the 7-14mm f4 Panasonic which is really good but does get purple blobs. (I know there is a fix for this and would attempt it myself but getting the components proves difficult). I was going to sell it after I make sure I'm happy with the Laowa. I'd like a faster lens but I don't want the size of the Olympus 7-14. I'd also like to be able to put filters on it which is again something I can't do with the P7-14 but can with the Laowa. I used to have the Samyang fisheye so am familiar with manual focus for this focal length.

Panos can be fun, but if keen with gear then an affordable indexing pano head on top of a levelling head & rail (to pivot at the lens entrance pupil point) can make more reliable outcomes, even though panoramic software can correct a lot of detail (I use Hugin software).

Keep an eye on this store for ex demo products with 1 yr warranty. I've had two bodies off them with shutter count less than 200 and two lenses. All of them were a bloody good price and I bought in conjunction with ebays 20% discount periods which was even better. All were delivered within 2 days of purchase.

I bookmarked the site, will keep an eye out for demo or used lenses.
However, their prices for new products are frightfully expensive. I looked at the M4/3 camera and lenses pages, and as an example found the Oly EM1 MK II selling for $2948 AUD.

That’s more than 1k over prices I have seen this model sell for here in Oz over the last few months.

I've changed my mind several times about the 12-40 at $643. I'd buy it now to pair it with a 5iii later. And even an Em10ii now for $470!? Good, tiny camera at that price!

The 12-40 is a good buy at that price, but I did well with the 7-14 lens buy though (my better half gave me the blessing to get it).
