    wow.. down and dirty making lenses. Not as....ehm... high tech as I would have imagined, however the lenses speak for themselves.

    I saw this video on how they make the Nokton 25 mm it really made me appreciate how much work goes into these lenses.

    I picked up a ultramatic from a thrift store about ten years ago, that camera was built like a tank but the behind the lens shutter is not easy to work on.
    I ended up with a non useable camera but the 50mm Septon Lens it had on it is supposed to be pretty good.

    My humblest apologies to nickthetasmaniac... didn't realise it would take us into spork territory. I confess I am also a Tasmaniac — devil of a tag to carry — by adoption rather than birth. Anyway, what's in a name, or a tag? No ill intent I assure you all.
