    Ok. I've got the manual in front of me and I've been googling but I can't figure out how to set this focus peaking up. I've seen it in youtube videos and I went through the menu and turned on the MF assist

    Menu -> Custom MEnu -> AF/MF -> MF Assist -> On

    I've got the olympus 17mm lens on the camera and I set the Aperture at 1.8. When I focus manually I don't see anything on the live view or in the view finder

    What am I missing? I know it's probably easy and stupid

    Thanks

    Well, if I assign a button to do the peaking I get the highlighting. I thought it was supposed to do it automatically

    And yes, I left out the Peaking option in my Menu. It's the same

    Not sure if Oly changed their methods with the E-M1, but on my E-P5 it must be assigned to a button before it'll kick on.
