    Hi!

    I use a canon fd 50 1.8 on my ep3

I understand that one can set the ibis to this specific focal length (50mm)

    But my question is;

Is it more correct to set the fl to 100mm (50mm* 2)

Anyone got a answer to this tiny question?:)

    Kind regards// frans

    No.

IBIS is set so that you set it up to the actual focal length of the adapted lens. It already "knows" that the 35mm equivalent is X2.

On a related note, what focal length do you set it to for zooms? The maximum? The minimum? Somewhere in between?

The focal length you will be shooting if possible, if unsure, set it to the low end of the zoom so as the IBIS does not over compensate.

    Good question!

    According to this great post:

I'm thinking of getting a zoom Zuiko lens for my film OM (I use only primes atm) and I'd surely test it with both the E-PL2 and the OM-D to see what gives.

What about setting focal length to a prime lens that doesn't have an exact setting in the camera? For example, my new 25mm prime can only be set o 24mm or 28mm in the OM-D...which is best, lower or higher than actual?

    Thanks.

I would use the 24mm setting.

I have a Rokinon 7.5mm, is that mean I have to change to 8mm?

What focal length to use for olympus Len like 12-50mm or 45mm prime?

    Thank you!

Use 8mm for the 7.5mm. With any m4/3 native lens it will adjust automatically!
