Caladenia longicauda [White Spider Orchid] is a species of plant in the orchid family, Orchidaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.
We were walking the Bibbulmun Track in this section as part of Ibu Anne’s training to complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 50km. Anne ticked off the Trailwalker in early October 2018, having completed the 50 km walk.
The common name for this is Kaffir Lily, with species names of either Schizostylis or Hesperantha.
It begins flowering in the autumn and will continue right through to early spring.
These few were flattened during our recent 'Storm Aiden' so were brought in for your delectation.
