Roses by AmstelBright, on Flickr

Olympus PEN E-PL1 + Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 15-blade lens, wide open. Slightly tweaked the colours in Lightroom, but nothing fancy.
For some reason, not exactly sure why, the bokeh here is extremely pleasing. Must be the nice mix of blues going on behind the bright flower. Great shot! :)

nothing to hate on there ... Why do you say hateful?
~tc~ I say it half in jest and half not! I have in my bag of tricks 14 lenses and while the 14-45mm F/3.5 - 5.6 is not a bad lens it is by far the weakest lens I have in my collection. I very seldom use it but today I had it with me and I needed a certain amount of abstraction. Luckily, with he aid of the +2 filter it did come through for me.

Not sure if it's technically still a flower in it's present form, but here it is:

Technically, going way back to my college biology ... the flower is the sexual organ of the plant ... as this Dandelion is wantonly dispersing it's seed helter-skelter with every breeze ... I'd say yeah, it is still a flower.

A Rose

E-P1 50mm F0.95 Navitar @F2.8

Generally the Navitar lens has poor MTF but it is best at F2.8 and looks not too bad here. Cropped and resized ~2.3x.

The color correction is not so great. Actually almost every abberation on this lens is fairly pronounced. F0.95 does place heavy demands on the designer.

Survivor

Hanging basket plant from last year that survived over wintering in a south face window. Transplanted to a pot. Started flowering after a couple weeks of exposure to the brighter outdoors light. Bit frost nipped foliage is recovering.
