About a week ago I decided to do something different. I decided to go out and photograph flowers. Originally the idea was to mainly shoot the insects on flowers but since the weather was cold and wet the insects were hard to find. So I had to adapt and concentrate on the flowers instead.

As some of you might have noticed I usually do my macro work with the Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm f/2.8 macro lens with one or two Raynox close-up lenses attached. This time I left the 60mm at home (on purpose) and decided to see what my sharpest lens – Sigma 56mm f/1.4 – could do with a Raynox DCR-150 attached.

Techically speaking most of these are not macro due to smallish magnification ratio so I'll just call them all close-ups.

So, all of these are taken with E-M5III + Sigma 56mm + Raynox DCR-150 and most of them were lit with Godox TT685o.

I think some of these could look nice in larger prints and I will probably order one or two to give out as presents.

I think they are great Teemu and have a different look than if you'd used your 60mm macro lens.
They have certain "arty" feel to them and wonder what (if any) processing you did.
I will confess to not liking the last shot with the bee - it's somehow unreal, but that's only my lowly personal opinion.
Well done on trying something different.
Great work as always.

Thank you! :hail:
Hehe, if I did any processing...? Well... I pretty much went overboard with the post processing. I wanted them to look completely different - almost unreal. I guess mission accomplished then.
