i wish to get a flash sync cord
i have tried to buy two from ebay.
one didn't allow ttl, the other didn't allow flash to fire

You can use any Olympus or Canon TTL cord. Canon will of course give you the broadest selection, and they have the exact same pin pattern as Four-Thirds (just don't use a Canon flash on it, lol).

Also, Flash Zebra is a good online source, though you can always just go to your local camera store (now that you know that Canon cords work, lol).

This is the only one that is truly reliable, all the others are hit and miss. The problem with after market cords is the contact pins are slightly over-sized and do not make proper contact with the contacts on the hot shoe.

Look on ebay for a company called Yungnuo, they do 3rd party stuff for way cheaper than the OEM. I have two of their TTL cables, a 1mtr and a 10mtr, both of them have worked flawlessly since i got them. They are well built and do the job at around 1/3rd the price.
