Tried the M1 w/ 12-40ƒ2.8 Pro for a group shot. Oly FL-50R on-camera, straight up, bounced w/ Joe Demb Flip-It for some forward light.

I'm still trying to find a good off-camera flash setup. On my Nikons I use a RRS Wedding Flash bracket and an L-bracket; this works well but is a pretty large kit and I'm afraid it would overwhelm the M1.

Anyone have any other suggestions to get this flash off-camera, other than holding it w/ my hand? I have an extension cord.

Have you looked at the Yongnuo 560-III or IV with the commander? This is a simple system that has enough power and you can remotely control flash power. You should be able to pick this up for $110 or thereabouts.

I have not, but will thanks. Ideally, would like to keep my Oly flash, but open to other systems.
