    A quick question I hope.
Is the FL50 a really good flash? (Better then 600R)
I've considered the FL600R some weeks, and just found FL50R to the same price as 600.

It's priced so low that it confuses me.

I can see at BH photo the 50 is the more expensive one, but not where I live.

So is my locally dealer wrong, and I'm just about to get extremely lucky?

Or is there different versions of the 50?
And it will fit my E-M1?

Do you have the links you're looking at? The FL50 can be found fairly cheap, the FL50R (which supports wireless ttl) tends not to be quite as inexpensive, and is usually a fair bit more than the 600R.

It's at a non English shop in Europe.
It specifically says FL50R and that it has FFL.
But it says master function no, slave yes.

A brand new FL-50R is about USD 400 shipped from Japan or USD 450 from Hong Kong, IIRC.

  5. That sounda like an FL-50R. The old 4/3 flashes support remote TTL slave but not master....

The FL50 is a great flash. The FL50R is much more expensive, but you can buy radio triggers for the FL50 for off camera flash. I much prefer the FL50 to the FL600R in general, though it is a bit larger.

I'm kind of confused, so to make things clear.
The one I posted info about should cost much more then 270 USD?

Cause the one I found costs less then the 600R.

FL-50R was discontinued last month. Its price was usually $480-500. FL-600R is still in production. It usually costs $300.

Yes the FL-50 (& 50R) is a more powerful flash than the FL-600R. The FL-600R is basically the FL-36R that uses 4 batteries instead of 2, but otherwise has the same specs as the FL-36 or 36R.
