I own a Panasonic G2 and I recently bought a Metz 50 flash, in the hope to use its autofocus assist light. Unfortunately the autofocus assist light doesn't work on my camera, and, from what I have read, also on many m43 cameras.

Does anybody know if among the newer m43 cameras there is one on which the external flash light of the flash works correctly? How is it, in particular, on the Panasonic G5 and Gh3?

I have the Metz 50-1AF and the AF assist light doesn't work on the Olympus E-PL5 or OM-D either. I spoke to Metz reps at Photo Expo last Oct. about this, and they said they would look into it and get back to me; they never did. The in camera AF assist light still comes on, which means the camera doesn't even know about the in flash assist light.

I've read that the AF assist light only works on 4/3 bodies and not µ4/3 bodies.
