Wow... I see a lot of great threads for Birds, Bugs, Cats, Horses and Farms and Zoos. So, I thought I would start something a little bit different.

Fish photos.... Wide Angle, Portrait or Macro. From above or below the water, it's all good.

I will start it off with some fresh water photos, saltwater is welcome as well.

Enjoy....

Our local locks have a viewing area for when the Salmon are running.

Here is one that I posted in another thread. It is an Arctic Grayling.

Common Bluegill - Lepomis macrochirus

She was pretty good size for a Bluegill but looks much bigger in the photo because of the perspective. I was shooting with the Pany 8mm Fisheye behind a 4" dome port. The fish was very close (4-8") so it appears large in the frame compared to the tree stumps in the background (2-4'). The photo was actually taken in only 6-8' of water on a clear sunny day as you can still see some of the blue sky through the Snell's Window effect on the surface through the murky lake water.

Thanks Dennis!

Beautiful Frogfish, great details and color. What camera/lens and UW gear were you shooting?
Thanks. For that I used an OMD with 45mm Panasonic lens in a Nauticam housing. At the moment that's my only port for the housing although I've just broken down and bought a dome port and a Panasonic 7-14 lens.
