First try

    I made my first attempt in astrophotography with OMD EM-5 II. Unfortunately I only have the Oly 45mm which made it impossible to capture a big part of the milky way.
    I think I'll buy the 17mm or the 12mm to get better results. I made 64 5 sec. exposures with ISO 6400 and stacked them in photoshop. I hope that I can get some better shots soon.

    Can someone tell me if chromatic abberations are an issue in astrophotography?

    I think I've seen some chroma on stars in the corners, but not it's been a while. I hope to have some fresh pictures over the weekend weather permitting, so I should be able to find out for sure...

    Yes definitively, this is the reason why most astrophotographers will use ED lens as well as very good quality ED telescopes...
