I just got delivery on a 14/2.5. I'll be using the 14 exclusively on my Oly pl2 for the next few days so I can get used to it. It appears to be a good complement for my 20 and 45.

Pretty linear (corrected in camera, I presume) which makes it good for architecture.

    CAM05513-mr-XL.

    Nice for flowers and food.

    CAM05512-mr-XL.

    CAM05516-mr-XL.

    CAM15524-mr-XL.

It works well for the gym, too.

    CAM15539-mr-XL.

    CAM15526-mr-2-XL.

But I think my favorite use will be for stealthy candids.

    CAM15545-mr-XL.

Hey, Lucille, your avatar just winked at me!

Wide is great for freaky distortion shots, Lucille. 14mm is OK, but I would gone for the 12/2 if it wasn't so expensive. $799 would be a budget buster, and get me in all kinds of trouble with my CFO. I picked up a brand new 14/2.5 on ebay for less than a quarter of that price.

The 12 is pretty solid, it just cost darn too much. the 14 does have it's advantages. The small size being one of them!

Yeah, there are lots of goodies I'd add if u4/3 was my primary system.... things like the 12, 25, and 75. But I have the d700 and lotsa lenses for my pay jobs. Size and price are important considerations for my go-anywhere rig.

Got mine recently, but haven't had a chance to test it as yet. My 25mm just arrived, so will hopefully get to take both lenses out over the next day or two and see how they perform.
