Didn't care - braved the 8 - 22F temps today and went out to the zoo to test this lens out.

It is a spectacular performer. I forgot to update the firmware, so if it only gets better with the 3.0 update on the EM1 - just WOW.

Anyway. Here are the images. As I usually do, I shot JPG with a flat profile and then added my own custom Lightroom preset to the images.

Another impressive thing is this. All but the first 2 bird images were taken through glass!!

The one above was taken at 1/10, ISO 3200, f/2.8 handheld @ 90mm

I won't say much more about this lens yet because I want to run it through some more paces with the updated firmware and I think that the pictures should speak for themselves.

Great images made by a great lens and photographer!
The last image at 1/10 and ISO 3200 is a tribute to modern technology.

Humble thanks and yes...I know my D300 would not have done as good at 3200 as this and it really is not all that old in the grand scheme of things.

Excellent shots. Though I must say I wouldn't have gone out in the cold.

This lens looks to be stellar, can't wait to get mine. Do you have the 1.4x converter?

Very fine shoots! It's a terrific lens, even with the MC 14 attached.
