So after a 11 hour flight from amsterdam, 3 hours of immigration, luggage and getting the train into town and checking in... a shower a snooze later I headed out to shinjuku... Took almost no shots... but did take this in one of the multistory electronic stores... kinda sums up my initial impression of tokyo.

which is good...because thats the level of oddness I came here for

Back from Tokyo.. Just started to post up some images and words on a blog here

    wandering thoughts

I took just the 17/1.8, the 75 and the 25 and the OMD... all fitted into a small domke bag and made for a very pleasureable shooting experience... my feet still hurt after all the walking but my shoulders were fine!!!

all praise to the lightness of micro 43

I hastily translated all those Yen into pounds and found out the train from the station was twenty quid, the six nights hotel was four hundred quid and the vended coffee was eighty pee.
    What did it taste like?
What was the stuff that came with the bacon on the 460 yen?
Are you getting a Yakuza tattoo?

I'm hoping to read "Tuesday" real soon ...

Too bad, next time i guess? its kinda hard cause very few of them can actually have a conversation, the place is so clean and people are friendly and polite.

the coffee in a can was fine...I have had much worse... it hit the mark

No idea what the stuff with the bacon was... as indeed was the case with a lot of the food...

as for the yakusa tatoo you will have to keep reading :)
