I received OMD recently wasnt very much impressed initially and I did think of selling it . But after first 48 hrs , I must say I have very little to complain. Its a woderful machine and I hate that hump and wobbly buttons . Everything else simply rocks . Here are some pics . Comments are welcome .All images shot with kit lens 12-50 and are OOC JPEGs.
    Cheers

The image quality and quick control of the OMD is outstanding, IMO.

Thanks Bill , yes I agree with that . I have no issues with any UI on planet earth and I was at home with OMD within minutes as I have had used loads of Olys in past.Dual dials and custom options make life easy.

I was shooting my daughter making pancakes today, and it was SO easy to adjust EV and aperture (in A mode), to try some different stuff on the fly. I love the two wheels on this camera. Perfectly laid out, IMO. The only double-guessing I had on the OMD was the price and the ergonomics of the grip. They are related, because I really like the HLD-6 grip, which makes it a $1300 camera. Mostly, my camera purchases stay in the $400-700 range, so this was 2-3X my normal investment, but I've made peace with the cost, to get the controls and IQ.

Thats right Bill, its so easy . I dont think I will make any camera purchase at least for one year . I have just bought two cameras within a month time . I dont think anything will attract me for the time being . I just wanna get few lenses especially new Pannt 35-100 and thats it . I Think Oly Kit lens 12-50 is quite Okay at 14 mm and I have stopped dreaming about Panny 14 mm

Bhu,Your pics are a 10+!You must use this camera for more than 48 hours to fully appreciate what it is.So if you love it to 10 now, in a month you will be over the moon!
Did you get the grip? Or do you feel you want it?

Hahaahahh I dont think so. EPL2 has exellent ergonomics and will remain my fav PEN. I just love the grip , built in flash . OLy should have copied this design for EPL5 with add on tilt screen.

Trust me you will come to LOVE that hump. It is the "business" end of the camera and makes a HUGE difference in composition abilities. Nice job so far

Thanks for that. I am trying to ignore the hump and when I think it will be helpful in sunny conditions and its quite rainy in Melbourne at present. I love GX1 as well and it has surprised me .

About the pictures: Nice! #1 is just unbelievably good; I love it. Did you add the vignetting in some of the others, or is that what the 12-50 does? It's quite apparent.

About the camera: yeah, it's great isn't it? It's so far superior to any other m43 camera I've tried (and I'm embarrassed about how many I've tried). My only gripe is that it's a little heavier than I'd like, but I guess that's the price of quality construction and weather-sealing.
